Hello, I’m Elizabeth Escalona O’Brien—artist, storyteller, and the founder of Luna & Fable. I create magical art and stories that invite those who feel deeply into worlds of warmth, wonder, and belonging.

About the Studio

Luna & Fable is a homage to the creatures and stories that shaped my earliest sense of wonder—a childhood filled with books and whispered stories, animal friends, and an imagination with no limits.

Inspired by the magic of nature, folklore, dreams, and timeless storytellers like Frances Hodgson Burnett and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, my art blends my Latin American and British heritage into original, tactile worlds.

Each collection is built from mixed media paintings, poetic fragments, and hand-gathered imagery, often layered with gold, fingerprints, hidden collages, and moonlit textures.

The characters of Luna and Fable are quiet guides—part animal, part archetype—appearing throughout the studio’s worlds as companions, memory keepers, and gentle witnesses, inviting anyone who encounters them to wander, dream, and feel at home.

WHY I CREATE

I believe in the slow magic of creating by hand. I believe art can be a threshold, a ritual, a question. My hope is that each Luna & Fable offering becomes a companion—something small and beautiful to remind you of what’s sacred, strange, and still blooming inside you.
