Hello, I’m Elizabeth Escalona O’Brien—artist, storyteller, and the founder of Luna & Fable. This studio began as a quiet longing to make meaning through images, symbols, and slow creative rituals. A place where stories could bloom, and mystery could have a home.

About the Studio

Luna & Fable is a quiet homage to the creatures and stories that shaped my earliest sense of wonder—a childhood filled with books and whispered stories, animal friends, and an imagination with no limits.

My work is inspired by the magic of nature, folklore, and the timeless stories that echo in our dreams. Rooted in both my Latin American and British heritage, and shaped by voices like Pablo Neruda, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the wonder of The Secret Garden, and the mystery found in every animal’s gaze, these influences weave together in the worlds I create.

Each collection is built from original mixed media paintings, poetic fragments, and hand-gathered imagery. My process is both tactile and intuitive, often layered with gold, fingerprints, hidden collages, and moonlit textures.

The characters of Luna and Fable came to me as quiet guides—part animal, part archetype. They appear throughout the studio’s world as silent witnesses, memory keepers, and companions on the inner path.

WHY I CREATE

I believe in the slow magic of creating by hand. I believe art can be a threshold, a ritual, a question. My hope is that each Luna & Fable offering becomes a companion—something small and beautiful to remind you of what’s sacred, strange, and still blooming inside you.

Whether you’re beginning the journey with Light for the Threshold or arrived by way of a poem, a print, or a quiet curiosity, I’m so glad you’re here. This is a space for stillness, imagination, and stories that unfold in their own time.
